N China's Inner Mongolia registered a 3.9% y-o-y growth in raw coal output during Jan-Mar, reaching 320 Mt, while March's output rose 6.1% YoY to 120 Mt, according to local statistics bureau.
China imported 9.0 Mt of coking coal in Mar, falling 6.7% YoY yet rising 14.4% MoM, according to the latest data from the GAC. The import value came in at $1.42 bln, down 26.9% YoY but up 2.4% MoM.

Iron ore exports to China from Australia's Port Hedland increased 6.05% YoY and 27.90% MoM to 42.85 Mt in Mar, according to the Pilbara Ports Authority. The shipments to China accounted for 86% of the port's total iron ore exports in the month.
