Ordos city in Inner Mongolia reported a strong monthly growth of 8.2% in coal sales to 58.32 million tonnes in September, showed data from Ordos Energy Bureau.
The volume also increased by 1.47 million tonnes or 2.6% from the preceding year, data showed.
Coal sales of local coal mines dipped 0.9% year on year to 46.25 million tonnes, while sales of CHN Energy Corporation reached 12.07 million tonnes, up by 18.7% on the year.
In the first nine months, Ordos sold a total 471.63 million tonnes of coal, decreasing by 10.4% from the preceding year.
Sales of local mines dropped 14.4% to 362.71 million tonnes, while sales of CHN Energy Corporation rose up 6.0% to 108.92 million tonnes.
