Brazil's iron ore exports to China slumped 27.3% from September to 23.16 million tonnes in October, marking a year-on-year fall of 8.9%, according to the country's customs data.
Iron ore exports to Europe plunged 52.2% on the year to 1.65 million tonnes in October.
The country exported 1.26 million tonnes of iron ore to South Korea in the month, falling 14.7% from a year ago. Exports to Japan fell 18.7% year on year to 969,100 tonnes.
Brazil's total iron ore exports in October fell 8.6% year on year to 31.19 million tonnes, which also dropped 16.8% from a multi-year peak recorded in September, data showed.
Through January to October, Brail's exports of iron ore contracted 5.8% on the year to 279 million tonnes, and 202 million tonnes were delivered to China, rising 12.1% year on year and accounting for 72% of the total.
