Russia's thermal coal exports stood at 11.9 million tonnes in November, down 4.24% year on year but ticking up 0.75% month on month, showed data from the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
Export value totaled $1.26 billion in the month, jumping 88.07% year on year and 14.58% month on month.
Russia exported most thermal coal to China in November, at 1.94 million tonnes, jumping 67.67% year on year but sliding 6.42% month on month.
Exports to Japan declined 10.42% year on year but rose 28.55% month on month to 1.60 millionn tonnes in November.
In November, exports of bituminous coal declined 4.48% year on year but ticked up 0.41% month on month to 11.86 million tonnes. Other coal exports were 45,900 tonnes, surging 184.13% year on year and far more than 4,900 tonnes in October.
In January-November, Russia's thermal coal exports totaled 139 million tonnes, up 5.4% year on year, while export value rose 32.44% to $10.08 billion.
