China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd., a listed arm of China Energy Investment Corp, saw its polyolefin sales rise 14.9% year on year to 53,100 tonnes in December, up 0.76% month on month, the company said in a report on January 21.
Polyethylene sales rose 4.8% from the year-ago level to 26,200 tonnes in the month, while polypropylene sales were 26,900 tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 26.9%.
In 2021, sales of polyolefin totaled 648,400 tonnes, down 5.77% or 39,700 tonnes on the year. Polyethylene sales decreased 6.8% year on year to 332,800 tonnes during the period, while polypropylene sales fell 4.7% on the year to 315,600 tonnes.
