Coal production of Mongolia came in at 1.38 million tonnes in May, reducing 29.52% year on year but rebounding 3.73% month on month, showed data from the National Statistical Office of Mongolia.
In January-May, Mongolia's total coal output was 7.88 million tonnes, diving 54.13% on the year.
Mongolia's iron ore production was 1.14 million tonnes in May, down 34.01% on the year yet rising 6.99% on the month.
Iron sand output was 929,600 tonnes in May, down 21.75% year on year but increasing 14.09% from April, while iron concentrate production was 214,500 tonnes, down 60.69% from a year ago and 15.75% month on month.
Total production of iron ore in Mongolia totaled 4.43 million tonnes during the first five months in 2022, down 15.23% year on year.
Iron sand output was 3.46 million tonnes over January-May, down 0.42% year on year, and iron concentrate production was 961,500 tonnes, down 44.81%.
