Coal prices of all types in China continued increasing in June 11-20, data showed from the National Bureau of Statistics on June 24.
Prices of coal types surveyed by the NBS are seen as follows:
The price of Anthracite (washed mid-lump, V≤8%) was at 1,990 yuan/t as of June 20, up 1% or 20 yuan/t from 10 days ago;
Common blended thermal coal (Shanxi slack- and lump-blended coal, CV 4,500 Kcal/kg NAR) was assessed at 1,013.8 yuan/t, up 2.1% or 20.9 yuan/t from June 10;
Shanxi premium blended thermal coal (CV 5,000 Kcal/kg NAR) was assessed at 1,137.5 yuan/t, up 3.1%;
Shanxi premium blended thermal coal (CV 5,500 Kcal/kg NAR) was assessed at 1,317.5 yuan/t , up 2.7%;
Datong blended thermal coal (Datong-produced blended coal, CV 5,800 Kcal/kg NAR) was at 1,407.5 yuan/t, up 2.6%;
Coking coal (primary coking coal, S< 1%) was assessed at 2,900 yuan/t, up 2.4% from 10 days ago.
However, the growth in types other than coking coal slowed over the reporting period, the NBS said.
In addition, coke (Grade-II) was assessed at 3,248.5 yuan/t as of June 20, a 6.1% rise from the previous session.
