Ordos, one major coal production base in northern China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, sold 68.3 million tonnes of coal in October, rising 6% or 3.86 million tonnes from a year ago, and 16.5% or 9.68 million tonnes from September, according to local statistical bureau.
Coal sales of local coal mines increased 5.1% or 2.67 million tonnes year on year to 54.9 million tonnes in October, while that of CHN Energy increased 9.7% or 1.19 million tonnes on the year to 13.4 million tonnes.
The cumulative coal sales over January-October rose 6.4% or 34.18 million tonnes from the same period last year to 570.25 million tonnes.
Local coal mines' sales climbed 6.6% or 27.55 million tonnes year on year to 442.49 million tonnes in the first ten months of 2021, and that of CHN Energy increased 5.5% or 6.63 million tonnes on the year to 127.76 million tonnes.
