Poland's coal production totaled 8.62 million tonnes in October, rising 1.44% from a year ago, but falling 3.6% from September, showed data from Central Statistical Office of Poland.
Hard coal output was 4.74 million tonnes in October, up 6.73% year on year and 4.61% month on month. Lignite production fell 4.36% on the year and 12.04% on the month to 3.88 million tonnes.
In January-October, Poland churned out 87.89 million tonnes of coal, 5.77% higher than the year-ago level. Output of hard coal and lignite stood at 45.72million and 42.17 million tonnes, up 2.38% and 9.71% respectively from the preceding year.
