Indonesia's coal exports reached 33.74 million tonnes in November, down 8.77% from the year-ago level and 14.2% month on month, the lowest in four months, showed data from Statistics Indonesia.
Data showed exports of thermal coal decreased 13.54% year on year to 24.07 million tonnes in the month, falling 16.17% month on month.
Other coal exports declined 13.71% year on year and 14.07% month on month to 21.41 million tonnes. Exports of bituminous coal fell 12.19% on the year and 29.95% on the month to 2.66 million tonnes in November.
Indonesia shipped the largest volume of coal to China in November, at 15.94 million tonnes, surging 44.92% from a year ago but falling 22.2% from the month before; exports to India slumped 52.22% on the year and 15.75% on the month to 4.51 million tonnes.
Indonesia exported 394 million tonnes of coal over January-November, rising 7.51% on the year, with value at $24.95 billion, jumping 120% on the year.
