China Coal Energy Co., Ltd, the listed arm of China National Coal Group, produced 10.24 million tonnes of commercial coal in December, up 19.5% from the preceding year, said the company in a statement released on January 14.
December's output also rose 1.49% from 10.09 million tonnes a month ago, according to the statement.
The full-year commercial coal output totaled 112.74 million tonnes, up 2.5% from the same period last year, widening from a 1% growth registered during January-November, data showed.
The company's commercial coal sales fell 7.3% on the year to 22.66 million tonnes in December. The volume was yet 10.86% higher compared with the preceding month, data showed.
Sales of self-produced coal jumped 29.2% on the year to 11.11 million tonnes, which also rose 29.94% from the preceding month.
In 2021, the company's coal sales totaled 290.27 million tonnes, up 9.4% on the year, including 110.74 million tonnes of self-produced coal, which fell 0.3% than the year-ago level, data showed.
