Cargo throughput at Qinhuangdao port stood at 47.58 million tonnes in the January-March quarter, embracing a good start for the whole year thanks to its co-emphasis on production and anti-pandemic controls, according to Qinhuangdao Daily.
The port authorities in the quarter continued to improve production and maintain facility operation rates amid complicated environment, such as acute COVID epidemic, and port closures caused by strong winds and heavy fog.
The Ninth Port Branch of the Qinhuangdao Port Co, Ltd. made a new record in recent years, completing loading and unloading of 270,000 tonnes of cargoes in just 24 hours.
Qinhuangdao port is one major coal-handling port in Northern China, connected with coal hub Datong by the Daqin railway.
