Poland's hard coal production stood at 3.85 million tonnes in August, down 10.1% year on year and 3.9% month on month, while lignite output reached 4.91 million tonnes during the same month, up 2.1% from a year ago and 8.7% from July 2022, the official statistics showed.
In August, Poland's coal production totaled 8.76 million tonnes, down 3.6% year on year but up 2.7% month on month.
In January-August, the country's coal production rose 3.0% from the same period last year to 72.45 million tonnes. Hard coal production was down 1.6% to 35.88 million tonnes while lignite rose 8 % to 36.57 million tonnes.
