China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd., a listed arm of China Energy Investment Corp, saw its total polyolefin sales increase 3.2% or 1,900 tonnes year on year and 12.3% or 6,600 tonnes on the month to 60,400 tonnes in July, said the company in a report on August 16.
The company's polyethylene sales were 29,900 tonnes, down 2.6% on the year but up 5.7% month on month. Sales of polypropylene rose 9.7% year on year and 19.6% month on month to 30,500 tonnes.
Total sales of polyolefin from January to July were 411,800 tonnes, down 1.2% from the preceding year, while polyethylene sales were 211,200 tonnes, down 1.5% from the year-ago level and polypropylene sales dropped 0.9% to 200,600 tonnes.
