China Coal Energy Co., Ltd, the listed arm of China National Coal Group, reported its polyolefin output was down 3.9% year on year but rose 7% on the month to 123,000 tonnes in September.
Polyolefin sales increased 1.6% on the year and 19.8% month on month at 127,000 tonnes, , according to figures released by the company on October 16.
China Coal Energy produced 65,000 tonnes of polyethylene, unchanged from a year ago and up 12.1% month on month. The production of polypropylene was 58,000 tonnes, dropping 7.9% year on year yet up 1.8% month on month.
Sales of polyethylene rose 12.7% year on year and 34% month on month to 71,000 tonnes. Polypropylene sales were 56,000 tonnes, down 9.7% on the year but up 5.7% on the month.
The production of urea increased 1.1% year on year but decreased 1.6% month on month to 179,000 tonnes, and urea sales were 180,000 tonnes, climbing 10.4% year on year and 28.6% month on month.
In September, the company produced 179,000 tonnes of methanol, up 1.1% year on year and 11.2% month on month and sold 180,000 tonnes, up 10.4% year on year and 12.5% month on month.
