Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi JSC (ETT), a leading Mongolian mining company, has clarified that its sales activities are running normally, according to a statement released by the company on April 10.
ETT shipped 9.10 million tonnes of cargoes as of April 9 this year, with 8.40 million tonnes exported. The shipment volume increased by 11% compared to the same period last year, while the exports climbed 32% on the year, it said.
A daily average of 670 trucks hauling goods crossed the border in the week ending April 6. The figure rose to 750 trucks over April 8-9, ETT said in the announcement.
The company emphasized its production, sales and transportation activities are all preceding normally and any talk of export stoppage is unfound.
In 2023, ETT reported a net profit of approximately 3.5 trillion MNT, roughly equivalent to 7.5 billion yuan. It distributed over 760 billion MNT in dividends (1.6 billion yuan) to Mongolian citizens.
