Dabancheng district in Urumqu of northwestern China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has achieved a remarkable milestone by transitioning to an entirely new energy-based power supply, Xinhua News reported, citing local authorities.
The district, also called "China's Wind Valley", boasts a formidable annual wind energy reserve of an impressive 25 TWh.
With a total installed capacity of over 50 GW in new energy sources, Xinjiang stands as a shining example of China's commitment to clean and sustainable power generation.
